Over the Cap has the contract details and salary cap hits for Jacksonville Jaguars' defensive end Travon Walker following his recent extension.

A few weeks ago, the Jaguars and Walker agreed to a four-year extension worth $110 million. This included $50 million fully guaranteed at signing and $75 million in total guarantees. These four years were added on to the 2026 season, which keeps Walker in Jacksonville through 2030.

Walker is guaranteed $4.5 million for the 2026 season and $25.5 million for the 2027 season. A $20 million signing bonus will also be prorated over the five-year deal.

With the Jaguars paying Walker so much up front, he does not have a guaranteed salary in 2028 and beyond. So in those seasons, Walker's base salary makes a huge jump, going from $5.5 million in 2027 to $22.19 million in 2026.

Although the Jaguars hope it doesn't come to this, the team does have an out during the 2028 offseason, where $20.19 million in cap space could be saved if they moved on from him.

"Walker has guaranteed salaries in 2026 and 2027 along with a $20 million option in 2027," wrote Over the Cap. "An additional $15 million of 2028 salary becomes guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2027 league year, and remaining $10 million becomes guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2028 league year. Walker has $500,000 in per game roster bonuses and workout bonuses in each year of the contract."

Despite the infusion of new money into this contract, Walker's cap hit for the 2026 season is actually lower than what it would have been had he played out this year on the fifth-year option. The extension saved the Jaguars about $5.7 million in 2026 cap space.

Over the Cap now has the Jaguars with $11.07 million in available cap space. This ranks 26th in the NFL.
