Florida State's recruiting efforts are heating up as 2027 three-star safety Seth Williams has locked in an official visit with the Seminoles. The Atlanta native, who initially decommitted from Clemson in April, will be making his first trip to Tallahassee on June 5, according to Noles247. But the competition doesn't stop there—Williams also has an official visit scheduled with Florida State's arch-rival, the Florida Gators, just six days later on June 11.
Williams is coming off a standout junior season at Lakeside High School, where he showcased his versatility on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he racked up 73 tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, five pass breakups, and a forced fumble. On offense, he proved just as dangerous, hauling in 10 receptions for 222 yards and three touchdowns as a wide receiver. At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Williams has the frame and athleticism to make an immediate impact in college.
Ranked as the nation's No. 829 recruit and the No. 83 safety by the 247Sports composite, Williams is also the No. 99 prospect in the talent-rich state of Georgia. He's not the only Peach State safety on Florida State's radar—three-star prospect Jeremiah Proctor recently named the Seminoles among his top five schools, signaling that FSU is making a strong push for defensive backs in the 2027 class.
For Seminoles fans, landing Williams would be a significant win, especially given the heated recruiting battle with Florida. As June approaches, all eyes will be on Tallahassee to see if the Seminoles can make a lasting impression on this rising star.
