Buttles, who received an offer from Schiano during a campus visit last weekend, didn't hesitate to make his decision. He plans to return to Piscataway for an official visit later, solidifying his future with the program after drawing interest from several other schools including Temple, James Madison, and UConn.

What makes Buttles such an intriguing prospect is his two-way prowess at St. Francis High School. He dominated as a quarterback, throwing for 1,929 yards and 20 touchdowns last season while adding 657 rushing yards. However, his future at the collegiate level is likely on defense, where he projects as a defensive back after recording 87 tackles and three interceptions.
