What an awesome game!

The Kansas City Royals brought the energy—and the bats—in a thrilling 6-2 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on a night filled with fireworks and fun.

It was Jac's blazing bat bobblehead night at the ballpark, and the Royals delivered a performance worthy of the souvenir. The team launched two home runs and came inches away from a third, keeping fans on the edge of their seats in what turned out to be a joy to watch.

The game didn't start with a bang, though. Both offenses sputtered through the early innings, and the pace was lightning fast. It felt like every at-bat ended with a first- or second-pitch popup. Before you knew it, the fourth inning had arrived—and that's when the Royals' bats finally woke up.

Bobby Witt Jr. got the party started, crushing an 86 mph cutter that was sitting at the top of the zone. It might have been called a ball if he'd let it go, but Witt made himself tall and sent it deep into the Hall of Fame stands. A beautiful swing that put Kansas City on the board.

The Royals weren't done. Vinnie Pasquantino followed with a rocket off the right-field fence, missing a homer by just a few feet. Then Salvador Perez hit a sharp grounder up the middle. The second baseman was in perfect position—until the ball took a weird hop off the base, sneaking right under his glove. Pasquantino scored on the error, tying the game at 2-2.

Carter Jensen followed with a single, and Lane Thomas walked to load the bases with nobody out. For a moment, it looked like the Royals' old RISP struggles might return, as Maikel Garcia and Hunter Renfroe both struck out. But with two outs, Nick Loftin delivered a perfectly placed grounder between the third baseman and shortstop, scoring Perez easily. Jensen rounded third and slid hard into home. The throw from Steven Kwan was on target, and Jensen was initially called out. But the Royals challenged, and replays clearly showed Jensen's toes touching the plate just in time. Safe.

From there, the Royals never looked back, adding more runs and cruising to a well-earned 6-2 win. It was a game that reminded everyone why baseball is so much fun—especially when the Royals are playing like this.
