This week, five-time PGA Tour winner, Matt Fitzpatrick will compete in the 11th PGA Championship of his career, alongside his brother, Alex, who's teeing it up in the major tournament for the first time.

This week at Aronimink, five-time PGA Tour winner Matt Fitzpatrick is stepping into his 11th PGA Championship—but he's got some unexpected company. His younger brother, Alex, is making his major championship debut, and the siblings are sharing more than just the spotlight.

"This is the second time we've shared a house at a major," Matt said, recalling when Alex qualified for The Open in '23. "We are different. He is messy, I would say. We shared a bathroom last week, and it was a little bit messier than my side."

Alex burst onto the PGA Tour scene in full force after winning the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in late April—alongside his brother and teammate Matt. That victory earned him his first PGA Tour card through 2028 and an exemption into this year's PGA Championship. Housekeeping quirks aside, Matt couldn't be prouder.

"Super proud of him for how he's been playing and following up the win at Zurich with two brilliant weeks at Doral and last week," Matt said. "I'm probably known as Alex's brother now, as opposed to him being Matt's brother. It's an amazing position to be in to have that privilege to talk about how well he's doing."

Despite the family reunion on the course, Matt insists it's business as usual when it comes to his preparation. "I'm very strict on my routine," he said. "I want to do this, and I need to see whoever at this time. If he wants to fit that in, that's fine."

With both Fitzpatricks in the field, Aronimink is set for a week of sibling rivalry—and plenty of inspiration. Whether they're battling for the Wanamaker Trophy or just trying to keep the bathroom tidy, one thing's clear: this is a major moment for the Fitzpatrick family. And for golf fans, it's a story worth following.
