
Rosters for the 51st edition of the Ada News All-Star Classic have been finalized after a meeting by the Ada Area Basketball Coaches Association earlier this week at Torres Mexican Restaurant.
The basketball showcase is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, at Allen High School.
The girl’s game will tip off at 6:30 p.m., with the boy’s game to follow at 8 p.m. The contests will pit senior players from the East against senior players from the West.
The ever-popular 3-point Shootout and Slam Dunk competitions will also again be part of the All-Star Classic.
Preliminary rounds for those events will begin at 4 p.m. on game day inside the Allen gym. Doors will open at approximately 3:45 p.m. for those events. The gym will be cleared following the completion of the preliminary rounds.
The 3-point shootout and slam dunk contests are open to any varsity players, regardless of classification, from the 17 schools that now make up the Ada Area Basketball Coaches Association. Players must have been involved with their school’s varsity basketball program during the 2025-26 season to be eligible.
Members of the East Girls team include Cherish Woodward and Addison Prentice of Allen; Preslee Taylor of Asher; Lorren Shaw of Byng; Laila Wroolie of Konawa; Kayle Watson of Tupelo; and the Vanoss trio of Livi Ellis, Zoey Cagle and Lanie Myers.
Alternates for the East Girls are Keira Miller, Tupelo; Payton Madinger, Asher; Dusty Westmoreland, Konawa.
Coaching the East girls will be Dottie Slabaugh of Allen.
Members of the West Girls team include Kelbey Parnacher, Kailey Rudd, Paislee Anderson and Jolee Myers all of Latta; Avery Wilson of Roff; Addy Winter and Jayla Underwood of Sasakwa; Landree Dye of Stonewall; and the Stratford duo of Jaelee Korzan and Trinity Bess.
Alternates for the West Girls are Rayleigh Ardery, Stratford; Jayla Underwood, Sasakwa and Amaurie Peters, Sulphur.
The West boys roster includes the Ada trio of Milan Riley, Owen Wofford and Hemi King; Matthyus Bruner of Holdenville; Caymen Smith and Deakon Smith, both of Latta; Hunter Hughes of Mill Creek; Trenton Mack of Sasakwa; Aaron Clemens of Stonewall and Bridge Barrett of Sulphur.
Alternates for the West boys are Rowdy Thomas, Mill Creek; Brock Barnum, Stratford; and Mason Palmer, Sasakwa.
The East boys roster includes Gavin Hamilton and Quintin Box, both of Allen; the Asher pair of Pierce Aduddell and Cason Foster; Dallas Abbott and Jace Birdshead, both of Byng; Braden Specht of Calvin; Briesan Bastible of Tupelo; and the Vanoss duo of Noah Golish and Karver Trentham.
Alternates for the East boys are Eli Cooper, Byng; Kayd Bell, Allen; and Damien McCullar, Konawa.
Coaching the East boys will be Jason Wilkerson of Byng.
Players for the West teams will wear white or light-colored uniforms on game day and will be the home team on the scoreboard, while players on the East teams will wear dark uniforms and be the visitors on the scoreboard.
All-star coaches will contact their players to set up at least one practice date.
Any area coach who knows of players who will not be able to participate in the All-Star Classic is urged to contact The Ada News sports department or the all-star coach as soon as possible so a replacement can be named.
