Stephen Robinson calls for "togetherness" amid his Aberdeen side's relegation battle, saying the time to "scrutinise" things will be at the end of the season.

Stephen Robinson is issuing a rallying cry for unity as Aberdeen stare down a tense Scottish Premiership relegation battle. The new Dons boss, still seeking his first win since taking charge last month, emphasized that the time for deep analysis will come in the summer, but the immediate focus must be on collective spirit.

The stakes are crystal clear ahead of Saturday's crucial home fixture against Hibernian. Aberdeen sit just three points above the relegation play-off spot, occupied by Kilmarnock, having managed only one victory in their last 16 league outings—a run of form that has drawn significant criticism.

"We scrutinize everything at the end of the season, and that is where I will make changes," Robinson stated. "But right now, it is a togetherness that will get us through this situation. The players have been ridiculed from pillar to post, and some will say it's justified. But certainly in these last six games, that doesn't help. We need everybody together."

Robinson, who arrived from St Mirren, acknowledged the magnitude of the task, calling it "one of" the biggest challenges of his managerial career. "It is a huge challenge, and it is one we are right up for," he said. His immediate mission is to rebuild the squad's shattered confidence, reminding them of the quality that saw them lift a cup just last season.

"My job this week has been to be positive for the players, to try and get them to believe in what they have," he explained. "What I have found is nobody has gone hiding. We all know it hasn't been good enough, but we are in this together, and that belief will be our foundation for the fight ahead."
