BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — The first playoff series in Bloomington Bison history could be short.
Toledo scored four times in the first period and beat the Bison, 6-3, in game three of their ECHL playoff series at Grossinger Motors Arena on Monday. Toledo has a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series and the Bison face elimination on Wednesday.
The Bison played host to their first ever ECHL playoff game Monday but need to win four in a row to advance to the second round.
The Peoria Rivermen are in the President’s Cups Finals in the SPHL for the third time in five years. The Rivermen host defending league champion Evansville in the first two games of the series on Thursday and Friday nights at Carver Arena.
