The Boston Red Sox farm system just got a little deeper. A third prospect has cracked MLB's prestigious top-100 rankings, and it's a name you'll want to remember: Anthony Eyanson.

The 21-year-old right-hander enters the list at No. 97, sliding in after Philadelphia Phillies prospect Andrew Painter lost his eligibility. Eyanson now joins Franklin Arias (No. 21) and Kyson Witherspoon (No. 67) as Boston's top-100 representatives, giving the organization a promising trio of arms to watch.

Eyanson's rapid rise has drawn comparisons to another Red Sox pitcher who recently graduated from prospect status. Speaking on MLB Network, MLB Pipeline scout Sam Dykstra noted the similarities between Eyanson and Payton Tolle, highlighting the young pitcher's impressive trajectory.

What's fueling the buzz? A dominant start to the 2026 season. After transferring from LSU, Eyanson made a seamless transition to professional ball, allowing just one run over five starts at High-A Greenville. That performance earned him a promotion to Double-A Portland, where he didn't miss a beat—yielding just one run over four innings in his debut for the Sea Dogs.

Through 24 1/3 innings this season, Eyanson has racked up 38 strikeouts against only four walks. That's a strikeout-to-walk ratio that would make any pitching coach smile.

But the numbers tell only part of the story. Dykstra raved about Eyanson's full arsenal, which goes well beyond a fastball that now touches the high 90s after a recent velocity bump.

"It's even more significant considering he has a plus-plus slider, a plus curveball," Dykstra explained. "So those he can feather in, play off the heat. And even the splitter is acting like a plus pitch. It's a really full package so far for Anthony Eyanson."

The good news for Red Sox fans? Eyanson's stock is likely still rising. Dykstra teased another climb up the rankings when Konnor Griffin graduates from prospect status in a few weeks, predicting Eyanson will make "a pretty healthy jump up that list."

For a Red Sox organization that's been steadily rebuilding its pitching pipeline, Eyanson's emergence is another encouraging sign. Whether you're tracking prospects for fantasy leagues or just love following the next generation of hurlers, this is a name worth keeping on your radar.
