Liverpool and Chelsea played out a tense 1-1 draw at Anfield, a result that left the home fans feeling flat. The Reds started with real intent, taking the lead in the sixth minute through a brilliant strike from Ryan Gravenberch. However, Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez leveled the score just before halftime in the 35th minute, and despite plenty of effort after the break, Arne Slot's side couldn't find a winner.

Here's how each Liverpool player performed on the day:

Goalkeeper & Defense:
The goalkeeper made a few solid saves but was powerless to stop Fernandez's equalizer. In defense, Curtis Jones looked shaky and struggled to make an impact going forward. The right-back failed to track Marcos Cucurella's runs, putting in an unconvincing display. Virgil van Dijk, as ever, was a commanding presence, clearing danger when needed and posing a threat at set-pieces.

Midfield:
Ryan Gravenberch was the standout performer, scoring a superb opener and influencing play at both ends. He showed real quality in the middle of the park. Alexis Mac Allister caught the eye at times but couldn't quite make the difference in the final third. Meanwhile, another midfielder failed to get a foothold in the game, though he did put in some crunching tackles.

Attack:
The forward line had mixed fortunes. One winger was full of energy and running, even hitting the post in the second half, but couldn't find the net. Another used his pace well and picked up an assist, but the central striker struggled to get involved and never looked like scoring. Overall, it was a frustrating afternoon for Liverpool's attack, who couldn't convert their early promise into three points.
