Richard Childress Racing has made a stunning change to Kyle Busch's No. 8 team after the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. Andy Street will replace Jim Pohlman as Busch's crew chief on the No. 8 team for Richard Childress Racing starting at Texas Motor Speedway, the team announced.
Street was the No. 8 team's crew chief to close out the 2025 NASCAR season after Richard Childress Racing parted ways with Randall Burnett. The veteran NASCAR crew chief jumped to Trackhouse Racing to join Connor Zilisch. Meanwhile, Pohlman was snagged from Justin Allgaier's No. 7 team for JR Motorsports in the NASCAR O'Reilly Series.
Now, Busch has another crew chief change following his first top-10 finish of the 2026 NASCAR season. Street was a great fit with the two-time Cup Series champion in 2025, so this should give the No. 8 team a boost. After all, Busch needs more speed to snap his winless streak in the Cup Series this season.
