This win is part of a remarkable early-season surge, with the team boasting an unbeaten 5-0-1 record. It's a complete turnaround from last year's challenging start, where they managed just one win in their first five outings. Now, with their seasoned core, the Spartans have their sights firmly set on clinching the Kensington Lakes Activities Association title in their final season before moving to the Lakes Valley Conference in 2026-27.

The catalyst for this resurgence? A powerful blend of veteran leadership and fresh talent. The roster is anchored by 11 experienced seniors and third-year juniors, providing a steady foundation for athletic underclassmen to thrive. Second-year head coach RJ Casey credits this maturity as the key ingredient, noting the significant impact of a "solid group of senior leaders" that was missing last season.

This leadership is most evident in a rock-solid defensive unit, spearheaded by senior captains Kylie Dean, Gabby Yancura, and goalkeeper Khaley Manassra.
