Inter Milan are wasting no time in building for the future, with reports suggesting the newly-crowned Serie A champions have agreed personal terms with two defensive targets. After clinching the Scudetto and eyeing a Coppa Italia double against Lazio, the Nerazzurri are already looking ahead to next season.
President Beppe Marotta is focused on reinforcing the backline, with veteran defenders Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij expected to be phased out. According to reports from Cronache di Spogliatoio, Inter have reached a personal agreement with Udinese's Oumar Solet. The 26-year-old French defender has been on Inter's radar for some time, but securing a deal won't be easy. Solet has attracted interest from Serie A rivals Milan and Juventus, as well as Premier League side Newcastle United. However, Sportitalia reports that while Solet is open to other options, he would prioritize a move to the San Siro this summer.
In a separate move, transfer expert Nicolò Schira claims Inter have also agreed personal terms with Sassuolo's Tarek Muharemovic. The Bosnian defender is reportedly set to sign a contract through June 2031 worth €2.2 million per season. To make the deal work financially, Inter may explore a loan with an obligation to buy in February 2027—a strategy that suits Sassuolo's stable financial position. However, Juventus still hold a 50% sell-on clause for Muharemovic, which could complicate matters or even prompt the Bianconeri to re-sign the former youth product.
With both deals indicating Inter's commitment to a youthful defensive rebuild, fans can expect more transfer activity as the summer window heats up.
