Even after adding Ohio State edge rusher Arvell Reese in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, the New York Giants do not intend to trade outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux.
ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the news.

Head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that report during his Day 1 press conference.
"No. No. We keep all the good players as much as we can, right? We love Kayvon," he told reporters. "We love Kayvon."
Thibodeaux, who, like Reese, was the fifth-overall player selected when he came out of Oregon in 2022, is playing under the final year of his rookie contract and is scheduled to make $15.7 million this year.
The rumors have been circulating that the Giants are shopping Thibodeaux around this offseason and are seeking no less than a third-round pick for him in return. It's unknown whether that is still the prevailing thought.
The Giants now have an embarrassment of riches in the pass rush with Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, Reese, and Thibodeaux. It doesn't seem feasible to keep them all, especially Thibodeaux, but they aren't about to give him away, either.
Then again, they may not have to. General manager Joe Schoen says Reese will start his career at inside linebacker alongside Tremaine Edmunds.
