Juventus are making a fresh push to bring Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi to Turin, with reports suggesting the Serie A giants are ready to reignite their pursuit of the Argentine stalwart.
The 29-year-old has been a rock at the back for the Cherries since arriving from Feyenoord in 2022, but his time on the south coast is winding down. With no intention of extending his contract at the Vitality Stadium, Senesi is heading toward free agency this summer—a situation that has sparked interest from top clubs across Europe.
Juventus have had their eye on the centre-back for months, viewing him as a key defensive reinforcement for next season. But the Bianconeri were initially lagging behind in the race, with Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly leading the chase. However, those negotiations have hit a snag, opening the door for the Old Lady to swoop in.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via JuventusNews24), manager Luciano Spalletti is eager to add a defender who can build play from the back. While Gleison Bremer remains one of Serie A's most reliable defenders, his technical limitations on the ball have been exposed at times—most notably in a draw against Hellas Verona, where a clumsy pass gifted Kieron Bowie an opener.
Senesi, by contrast, is known for his sharp distribution and has racked up an impressive five assists in the Premier League this season. That kind of ball-playing ability could be a game-changer for Juventus as they look to sharpen their build-up play.
But Senesi isn't the only name on their radar. The Bianconeri are also keeping tabs on Bayern Munich's Kim Min-jae. The South Korean international, who thrived under Spalletti during his solitary season at Napoli, has been playing backup to Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano in Germany. A reunion with his former boss could be tempting—but there's a catch. Unlike Senesi, Kim would come with a hefty price tag, as Bayern are unlikely to let him go for less than the €60 million they shelled out in 2023.
As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Turin to see whether Juventus can land their man on a free—or if they'll have to dig deep into their pockets for a familiar face.
