Roma may have to reluctantly sell star midfielder Manu Kone to bitter rivals Inter Milan at the end of the season.

According to Il Messaggero via FCInter1908, the Giallorossi must raise €80 million through player sales by June.

Despite Inter’s genuine interest in Manu Kone last summer, Roma had no interest in negotiating the Frenchman’s exit.

As such, the Nerazzurri signed Andy Diouf from Lens, though the player has failed to settle at San Siro.

Furthermore, they have slapped a prohibitive €40 million price tag on their midfield dynamo to fend off potential suitors.

However, the club’s dire financial situation could force Gian Piero Gasperini to part ways with the former Borussia Monchengladbach star in the summer.

Roma must raise €80 million by June 30 to comply with their settlement agreement signed with UEFA in 2022.
