Inter Milan, sitting comfortably at the top of Serie A, are already planning for the future. Reports indicate the Nerazzurri have set their sights on two of the league's most exciting young talents to bolster their squad this summer: defender Tarik Muharemovic and wingback Marco Palestra.

With a significant defensive overhaul on the horizon—veterans Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi, and Stefan de Vrij are all set to depart as free agents—manager Cristian Chivu is proactively seeking fresh blood. The priority is to inject youth and dynamism into the backline, a crucial move for a club with title ambitions.

The first target, 23-year-old Bosnian center-back Tarik Muharemovic, has been a standout for Sassuolo, emerging as one of Serie A's top defensive prospects. His potential arrival would address a key area of need, and it's believed the player favors a move to Inter over other suitors, including Juventus. Securing his signature, however, won't be cheap, with Sassuolo demanding a fee in the region of €25 million.

Inter's ambitions don't stop there. They are also keen on Atalanta's prodigious wingback, Marco Palestra. Widely regarded as one of Italy's brightest young stars, the 20-year-old possesses the attacking flair and defensive work rate that would make him an ideal long-term successor to Denzel Dumfries. Landing him, however, presents a greater financial challenge, with Atalanta holding firm on a staggering €40 million valuation.

These potential moves signal a clear intent from Inter: to build on their current success by investing in the next generation of Serie A stars, ensuring the squad remains competitive at the highest level for years to come.
