Unbeaten Panthers enter Gold Cup having allowed just three goals this spring.

Reigning champion DeWitt is storming into the CAAC Cup girls soccer field with an undefeated record and a defense that’s nothing short of dominant. The Panthers have allowed just three goals all spring, setting the stage for a thrilling title defense in the Gold Cup.

As the top seed in the God division, DeWitt (13-0) enters the tournament as the CAAC Blue champion and the reigning Gold Cup winner, having shut out Grand Ledge 2-0 in the 2025 final. Their unblemished season has made them the team to beat, and they’ll open against No. 4 seed Haslett on Tuesday, May 12, at 7 p.m. Haslett (8-1-3) has been nearly as impressive, remaining unbeaten since a narrow 2-0 loss to Grand Ledge early in the season.

The Gold Cup bracket is stacked with talent. Joining DeWitt are Okemos (No. 2 seed), along with CAAC Red co-champions Mason and Haslett. Okemos (8-5-2), the CAAC Blue runner-up, will host No. 3 seed Mason in the other semifinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Wolves have been tough against local rivals, with their only loss coming to DeWitt, and they’ve played to draws with both Mason and Haslett. Mason (6-3-4), the 2024 Gold Cup champion, also shared a scoreless draw with Haslett, setting up a competitive rematch.

In the Silver Cup, East Lansing leads as the top seed and will face No. 4 seed Williamston. No. 2 seed Grand Ledge hosts No. 3 seed St. Johns in the other matchup. Semifinals kick off Monday, May 11, with the remaining games on Wednesday, May 13.

The Bronze Cup features Eaton Rapids as the top seed, followed by Holt, Lakewood, and Olivet. Eaton Rapids takes on Olivet, while Holt hosts Lakewood on Tuesday, May 12.

Lansing Catholic headlines the Copper Cup as the No. 1 seed, with Ionia at No. 2, followed by Portland and Fowlerville. Lansing Catholic welcomes Fowlerville, and Ionia faces Portland on Monday, May 11.

In the consolation bracket, Charlotte, Waverly, Eastern, and Everett will compete. Charlotte hosts Everett, and Waverly takes on Eastern in opening matchups on May 12.

With defending champion DeWitt leading the charge and a host of talented teams ready to challenge, this year’s CAAC Cup promises plenty of action on the pitch. Whether you’re cheering from the stands or gearing up in your favorite soccer gear, it’s a tournament no fan should miss.
