Turns out, there was a reason behind his struggles. The Red Sox placed Crochet on the injured list Wednesday due to left shoulder inflammation.
The #RedSox today placed LHP Garrett Crochet on the 15-Day Injured List (retroactive to April 26) with left shoulder inflammation. To fill his spot, Boston recalled INF/OF Nate Eaton from Triple-A Worcester.
The move is retroactive to April 26, meaning Crochet could return sooner than expected based on the severity of the injury.
