The Boston Red Sox snapped their four-game losing streak on Saturday in impressive fashion, bludgeoning the Baltimore Orioles in a 17-1 blowout at Camden Yards.
The 17 runs and 17 hits were both easily season highs for the Red Sox, who had scored just 17 runs over their previous seven games combined. Even more impressively, they did it without Roman Anthony, who remained sidelined by a back injury.
Boston clobbered eight extra-base hits, including three home runs. Both were season highs as well, returning the favor after the Orioles bashed six homers against them on Friday.

The Red Sox erupted for 10 runs in the ninth inning, putting the game well out of reach. They had more runs in that one inning than in any previous game this season.
Every Boston starter had at least one hit and one run. Six players notched multiple hits.
That was more than enough run support for Garrett Crochet, who bounced back from a pair of rough outings with one of his best starts of the year. He struck out seven over six scoreless innings, improving to 3-3 with a 6.30 ERA.
After breaking out for 20 runs and 27 hits over their last two games, the Red Sox finally seem to be breaking out of their early-season funk. They'll try to keep it up in Sunday's rubber game as they aim for their first series win in two weeks.
