Former Duke Blue Devil Kon Knueppel turned heads throughout the year due to his stellar rookie season with the Charlotte Hornets.

So much so that he caught the attention of another famous rookie who resides in Charlotte.

As part of a voluntary offseason program with the Carolina Panthers, recent Offensive Rookie of the Year Award winner Tetairoa McMillan spoke about Knueppel's tremendous season, comparing it to his own.

"I haven't met him before, but man, he sure is balling. I feel like his rookie season topped mine in a way. He's been doing a lot better than I have. Shoutout to him."

For Knueppel, earning the Rookie of the Year Award to match McMillan would be the icing on the cake after a historic rookie campaign.

That said, Knueppel's former Duke roommate Cooper Flagg may prevent that from happening.
