Real Madrid are already laying the groundwork for the 2026–27 season, and the planning goes well beyond transfers and tactical tweaks.

One of the most eye-catching elements of next season’s rollout will be the return of a rarely used color in the club’s palette: pink.

According to leaks from Footy Headlines, Adidas is preparing a third kit built around a dark pink base, complemented by a subtle geometric pattern in the same tone and finished with ivory accents. It’s a bold direction, and one that carries a limited but notable history at the club. Real Madrid have only dabbled with pink twice before—most memorably during the 2014–15 season with the BBC era in full swing, and again in 2020–21 during a transitional period led by Eden Hazard. Now, several years later, the color is set for a high-profile return, likely to stand out under the lights of the Santiago Bernabéu.

The home kit, meanwhile, is also expected to generate discussion. While it retains the club’s iconic white foundation, the new design reportedly incorporates dark green detailing alongside subtle pink tones. This blend is not entirely unprecedented—green has featured in past Madrid kits—but the addition of a pink accent introduces a fresh contrast that pushes the design into more experimental territory. If the leaks are accurate, fans won’t have to wait long to see it, with a release anticipated around May 2026.

Adidas is also leaning into nostalgia with a broader collection tied to the launch. A streetwear line inspired by the brand’s 1994 aesthetic is set to accompany the kits, merging retro influences with modern styling. The home jersey itself reflects this approach: while staying true to its traditional white base, it incorporates geometric patterns and design elements that evoke a vintage feel. Curved lines along the collar and shoulders are particularly prominent, with dark green and rose-red accents adding depth and a contemporary edge.
