Real Madrid manager Álvaro Arbeloa has thrown his full support behind club president Florentino Pérez's explosive claims that Los Blancos have been "robbed of seven La Liga titles." The controversy stems from the ongoing corruption investigation into Barcelona's payments to José María Enriquez Negreira, the former vice-president of Spain's refereeing committee, spanning an astonishing 17 years.

While Barcelona have vehemently denied any wrongdoing and even threatened legal action against Pérez, the Real Madrid president didn't hold back, calling it "the biggest corruption case in history." Pérez vowed to pursue the matter for "the good of football" and announced that a formal dossier would be sent to UEFA detailing the club's grievances.

Speaking to the press on Wednesday morning, Arbeloa made it clear that the sentiment runs deep through the Real Madrid fanbase. "I'm not here to comment on the president's press conference," he began cautiously. "But any Real Madrid fan who listened to the president yesterday would agree that he defends the interests of the club's members. They would also agree that this club is treated differently than others around the world."

When pressed on whether he specifically agreed with Pérez's claim that Real Madrid had been cheated out of seven league titles, Arbeloa didn't mince words. "Of course. We all know what's happened over the last 20 years. And surely there are things we don't know yet. It's neither legal nor does it make sense to those of us involved in this competition. It's unbelievable that only Real Madrid wants to uphold the law in football. That's a feeling shared by all Madrid fans."

The manager was also asked about Pérez's decision to call for club elections on Tuesday night, and whether he would cast a vote. "I'm not a member, so I'm not going to vote," Arbeloa explained. "But I've known Real Madrid without Florentino. I know what it was like before he arrived and I know what it's been like these past 26 years. I'll stick with these 26 years. Real Madrid fans have realized what Florentino has done for this club."

This latest chapter adds another layer of intrigue to one of football's fiercest rivalries, with the battle now extending far beyond the pitch and into the boardrooms of Spanish football's governing bodies.
