La Liga giants Real Madrid have early this week announced a fresh injury setback in the club’s first-team ranks.
The Blancos star primed for an incoming spell on the sidelines? Kylian Mbappé.
Frontman Mbappé was for his part forced into a premature departure from Real Madrid’s latest outing.
En route to a disappointing 1-1 draw with Real Betis late last week, the Frenchman pulled up late in proceedings in Seville, before limping from the field of play.
Mbappé, in turn, was put through a round of medical tests and scans back at Valdebebas on Monday morning.
And as alluded to above, the results of as much have since been revealed.
As per a statement across Los Blancos’ website and social media platforms:
‘Following the tests carried out today on our player Kylian Mbappé by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg. Awaiting progress.’
