Ravens offer truthful offseason message to Diego Pavia

It's all on Pavia now.

The Baltimore Ravens have sent a clear and honest message to undrafted quarterback Diego Pavia: the opportunity is there, but the work is all on him.

After finishing as a Heisman Trophy runner-up, Pavia signed a three-year deal with the Ravens—a chance to prove himself at the professional level. But the transition from college star to NFL rookie comes with a reality check. Known for his polarizing personality, Pavia will need to dial it in as he starts at the bottom of the depth chart.

Head coach Jesse Minter isn't offering any shortcuts. "So now he's in the door and it's like, 'Show us what you can do,'" Minter said, via ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "And just like all the undrafted rookies, that's what I would say."

With Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley firmly atop the quarterback room, seeing game action in 2026 would take a Herculean effort. But the third-string role is very much up for grabs. Pavia will battle Joe Fagnano throughout the offseason, and as Minter made clear, the rookie must prove he belongs.

Whether Pavia can rise to the challenge remains to be seen—but the door is open, and the ball is in his hands.
