The Toronto Raptors are facing a must-win Game 7 against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they may have to do it without their star player. All-Star forward Brandon Ingram was spotted in a walking boot at morning shootaround and has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful for Sunday's decisive matchup.
Ingram sustained a left heel injury early in Game 5 and has already missed one game. The Raptors managed to steal an overtime victory in Game 6 without their leading scorer, evening the series at 3-3. But now, with a trip to the second round on the line, Toronto could be without its offensive engine for the biggest game of the season.
Ingram earned his second All-Star selection this year, averaging 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting nearly 48% from the field and 38% from beyond the arc. His absence would leave a massive void in the Raptors' offense, forcing RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes to shoulder even more responsibility.
In Game 6, Barnes stepped up with a monster performance—25 points, 14 assists, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Barrett and Ja'Kobe Walter each added 24 points, while Jamal Shead, who replaced Ingram in the starting lineup, contributed 7 points and 6 assists despite shooting struggles.
The stakes couldn't be higher: win and advance to face either the Detroit Pistons or Orlando Magic in the second round; lose and the season ends. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM ET in Cleveland.
