The Toronto Raptors were actually right there with the Cleveland Cavaliers for much of Monday night's Game 2 in the opening round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
If Brandon Ingram had decided to show up at all, the outcome may have been very different.
But instead, Ingram played one of the worst playoff games in NBA history.

He's the first player since Paul George in 2018 to have fewer than eight points, shoot 20% or worse, miss at least 12 shots and have at least five turnovers in a playoff game:

Ingram's stats included a bit of garbage time production after the Cavs had pulled away a bit, too. When the game mattered he was brutal.
It's painful in particular because Ingram had reached a very solid level most of this season for the Raptors.
On this night, though, he was the main reason Toronto couldn't even the series. This one will sting.
