Last summer was a period of major transformation for Everton, with a significant exodus of senior players met by the arrival of nine new faces. Despite that overhaul, the upcoming transfer window promises to be just as active for the club's recruitment team.

The final six games of the season will be crucial in shaping Everton's ambitions and, consequently, their transfer budget. Currently sitting just one point behind Chelsea for a Europa League spot and within striking distance of the top four, a strong finish could open up a new tier of possibilities in the market.

Regardless of the final league position, planning is undoubtedly underway. The primary objective must be to secure a proven, reliable goalscorer. While Thierno Barry has shown flashes of potential and Beto has hit a recent purple patch, neither has consistently delivered the firepower needed to elevate the squad. With only five teams scoring fewer goals this season, and the club's top scorers tied at a modest six Premier League goals, this is the most glaring need.

Finding that clinical finisher is easier said than done, as evidenced by the mixed success of big-money striker signings across the league last summer. But for a team with European aspirations, it's a non-negotiable investment.

Another long-standing issue that demands resolution is the right-back position. The search for a long-term successor to the iconic Seamus Coleman continues. With Nathan Patterson's future uncertain and Jake O'Brien often deputizing, the Blues need a more complete, modern full-back who can contribute effectively in both defense and attack to solidify the backline.
