Rangers defender Dujon Sterling has appeared in Glasgow Sheriff Court facing charges of dangerous driving and drink driving. The 26-year-old was arrested following a single-vehicle collision in the Cowcaddens area of Glasgow this past January.

According to court documents, the alleged incident occurred on January 4th, hours after Sterling featured in a match for the Ibrox side. The charges state he drove at excessive speeds on several city centre roads, including Queen Street and Hope Street, before losing control on West Graham Street.

The prosecution alleges Sterling failed to keep a proper lookout, drove into the path of other vehicles, and overtook unsafely without using indicators, ultimately colliding with a barrier. A separate charge states he was found with 60 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, significantly above the legal limit of 22 micrograms.

Sterling did not enter a plea during the brief hearing. His bail was continued, and a condition preventing him from driving was removed. The case has been adjourned for a further hearing on May 5th.
