Bojan Miovski says Rangers allowed their title hopes slip away too easily in their 2-1 defeat at Hearts on Monday. Danny Rohl's side took the lead through Dujon Sterling's deflected strike, before Hearts turned it around thanks to second-half goals from Stephen Kingsley and Lawrence Shankland. It leaves the Ibrox outfit seven points behind leaders Hearts with three matches of the Scottish Premiership season remaining.

In a candid post-match assessment, Rangers striker Bojan Miovski didn't hold back, labeling his team's second-half performance as "unacceptable" after a crushing 2-1 defeat at Hearts on Monday night. The loss dealt a significant blow to Rangers' dwindling title hopes in the Scottish Premiership.

The match started promisingly for the Ibrox side, with Danny Rohl's men taking the lead through Dujon Sterling's deflected strike in the first half. However, the momentum shifted dramatically after the break as Hearts mounted a spirited comeback. Stephen Kingsley and Lawrence Shankland found the net within minutes of each other, turning the game on its head and leaving Rangers stunned.

With just three matches remaining in the season, Rangers now find themselves seven points adrift of league leaders Hearts—a gap that feels insurmountable for a team that once believed they could challenge for the title. "We believed, of course we believed—everyone in the dressing-room believed we could do it," Miovski, who entered as a second-half substitute, told reporters. "But unfortunately the second half was disappointing. If you fight for the league, you can't play like we did in the second half."

The North Macedonian international didn't shy away from self-criticism, pointing to a lack of killer instinct in the first period. "We started really good in the first half and should have killed the game in that half. We gave them a chance in the second half. We lost concentration and gave them an easy goal, in my opinion. We brought them into the game, we shouldn't do that."

The defeat has shifted Rangers' focus from title aspirations to a battle for second place and a coveted Champions League qualifying spot. Currently sitting four points behind city rivals Celtic, the stakes couldn't be higher ahead of Sunday's showdown at Celtic Park—a fixture that could define their season.

"We will give everything until the end and try to collect as many points as we can," Miovski added, his determination evident despite the setback. "We need to finish this season strongly before thinking of next season."

For Rangers fans, the message is clear: the fight isn't over, but the margin for error has evaporated. As the season enters its final stretch, every match now carries the weight of a must-win scenario.
