Rangers 1-2 Hibernian: What Rohl said

Danny Rohl rues his side's poor post-split form as Hibernian consign them to defeat in their final home match of the season.

The final home match of the season ended in disappointment for Rangers, as Hibernian secured a 2-1 victory at Ibrox. Manager Danny Rohl didn't hold back in his assessment of the team's recent struggles, calling for a major overhaul this summer.

"Today showed exactly why we need a strong, front-footed cut in the summer to change a lot of things on and off the pitch," Rohl said. His frustration was clear as he analyzed the defeat: "When the opponent comes in our box three times and we concede twice, and we have to work hard to create chances, this is not enough to keep us winning games."

The Rangers boss emphasized the importance of being clinical in both penalty areas. "We said we have to be ruthless in both boxes. We have to demand more from ourselves, otherwise we will not achieve our big goals in the future."

Despite the result, Rohl took time to engage with the Union Bears supporters group after the final whistle. "It's important to show respect to the supporters," he explained. "Even today, the atmosphere was good, they were not negative and were behind the team. It's important to listen to them because it shows respect. We spoke about what we want and which direction we want to go in the future."

The manager welcomed the fans' high expectations, noting, "It is a good thing they are demanding because then they agree—we are both demanding." With the team's post-split form raising serious questions, Rohl made it clear that changes are coming. "The last four games are not what Rangers should be. We have different standards and this is what we have to work on. We will go strong in the pre-season with a lot of things."
