When you think of Randy Moss, you probably picture him soaring into the end zone for a touchdown. But these days, the NFL Hall of Famer is trading footballs for fishing rods—and he's making history in the process.

Moss has been named the ambassador for "The Champions," an inaugural bass fishing tournament that's set to shatter records. The event brings together the top anglers from the Bassmaster Elite Series and Major League Fishing's Bass Pro Tour, all competing for an unprecedented $3.25 million purse. The winner will take home a staggering $1.25 million—the largest first-place prize in the sport's history.

"Bass fishing has always been a big part of my life and fuels my competitive fire in retirement," Moss said. "I get the same rush reeling in a bass as I did finding the end zone."

The four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver isn't just lending his name to the tournament. His new YouTube series, "Chasing 10 with Randy Moss," will serve as the presenting partner. Produced by Big 84 and led by producer Andrew Grein, the show follows Moss as he travels the country with celebrity guests in pursuit of a legendary milestone: catching a 10-pound bass. The first episode, dropping in the coming weeks, features former Minnesota Vikings teammates Cris Carter and Jake Reed.

The tournament itself, organized by World Bass Enterprises and CEO Brian Bird, will take place Oct. 28–Nov. 1 on Old Hickory Lake at Sanders Ferry Park in Henderson, Tennessee. The five-day event includes three days of competition featuring the top 50 anglers from both major pro bass tours. But it's more than just fishing—attendees can expect fireworks, a flyover, interactive games, fishing activities, and live music from multiple acts.

"As I launch 'Chasing 10' and spend more time on the water, partnering with WBE was an easy choice," Moss added. "From day one I've been impressed with Brian's leadership and vision, and I can't wait for The Champions tournament this fall in Nashville."

Whether you're a seasoned angler or a weekend warrior, this historic event is proof that the world of competitive fishing is reeling in some serious star power—and a prize pool that's truly off the charts.
