May is here, and while the NFL season still feels like a distant promise, the Los Angeles Rams are already staring down a schedule that looks anything but forgiving. As it stands, the Rams will navigate the always-tough NFC West, battle elite NFC contenders, and face the loaded AFC West—a lineup that on paper reads like a gauntlet.

Of course, strength of schedule in May can be deceiving. Injuries happen, teams rise and fall, and what looks like a mountain today could be a molehill by kickoff. But for now, Rams fans have every reason to keep a close eye on the calendar.

There's still an air of excitement, though. The full schedule release is always a highlight, with its flashy videos and promotions. Personally, I'm hoping to see the Rams head to Denver to face the Broncos—a matchup that would bring plenty of storylines. But until then, patience is the name of the game.

The NFC West remains a brutal proving ground, and the conference as a whole is reloading for what promises to be a wide-open race for the NFC title. Add in the AFC West, a division stacked with talent, and the Rams will have to earn every win.

One game that stands out as a potential trap? A trip to Philadelphia in the snow. The Rams know that challenge all too well—they lost a divisional round game to the Eagles in a blizzard, 28-22, where Saquon Barkley ran wild. That kind of travel and weather disadvantage is something LA will hope to avoid in 2026.

Off the field, there's always a little SEC flavor in the air. One Rams rookie recently recalled a funny moment with head coach Sean McVay, who welcomed him with open arms but couldn't resist a jab: "Loved watching you play, but you played for the wrong jersey." It's that kind of energy that makes this team so compelling to follow.
