The Las Vegas Raiders have once again turned to a familiar face for rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza, signing undrafted free agent wide receiver Jonathan Brady—marking the third time the two will share a locker room.

Following Monday's rookie minicamp, the Raiders added Brady, who was one of several tryout players vying for a roster spot. The signing was announced by his agent, KMM, on Instagram.

Brady's journey with Mendoza is a remarkable tale of collegiate loyalty. The pair first connected at Cal in 2024, where Brady hauled in 36 passes for 386 yards and three touchdowns from Mendoza. When Mendoza transferred to Indiana this past season, Brady followed, catching 14 passes—three of which went for touchdowns—and adding a punt return touchdown for good measure.

But their history runs even deeper. Brady's college career began at New Mexico State, and he later joined Mendoza at Cal before the two reunited with the Hoosiers. Now, they're together again in Sin City, where the Raiders have made a habit of bringing in Mendoza's former teammates. The team previously signed running back Ramon Hemby and wide receiver EJ Williams, both of whom played with Mendoza at Indiana.

The Raiders were already at roster capacity, so Brady's addition will require a corresponding cut to make room. For the young receiver, this is more than just a tryout—it's a chance to continue a partnership that has already produced results at every stop along the way.
