Las Vegas still has some in-house free agents

As the NFL offseason quiets down in May, the Las Vegas Raiders still have some unfinished business with their own roster. While most of the heavy lifting is done, a handful of familiar faces remain unsigned—and fans are left wondering who might be back in Silver and Black next season.

So far, the Raiders have locked up three of their 18 unrestricted free agents from the 2026 class. The re-signed players include cornerback Eric Stokes, pass-rusher Malcolm Koonce, and tight end Ian Thomas. These moves signal the team’s priorities: shoring up the secondary, maintaining pressure off the edge, and adding depth at a key offensive position.

On the flip side, five players have already moved on. Quarterback Kenny Pickett and offensive tackle Stone Forsythe both landed with the Carolina Panthers. Defensive back Lonnie Johnson is now with the Miami Dolphins, guard Dylan Parham joined the New York Jets, and cornerback Darnay Holmes signed with the Atlanta Falcons.

That leaves 10 free agents still waiting for their next move. While the Raiders could bring back a few of them, there’s no urgency. This was a light free-agent class in Las Vegas, and the team had plenty of cap space to pick and choose. They focused on Stokes and Koonce, which made sense given their contributions last season.

One surprise? The Raiders didn’t re-sign kicker Daniel Carlson, instead opting to bring in Matt Gay. Aside from that, everything has gone according to plan. For now, it’s a waiting game to see which of the remaining 10 might earn another shot in the desert.
