There's nothing quite like the electric atmosphere of "The Game," and college football fans can mark their calendars for a familiar sight in 2026. FOX announced Monday that the iconic Ohio State vs. Michigan rivalry will return to its traditional Thanksgiving weekend Saturday slot, with a noon ET kickoff at Ohio Stadium. It's a welcome return to normalcy for one of the most anticipated matchups in sports.

For Buckeyes faithful, that Columbus venue holds a special—if distant—memory. The last time Ohio State topped Michigan at home was back in 2018, an explosive 62-39 victory that showcased the brilliance of late quarterback Dwayne Haskins. That November afternoon, Haskins torched the Wolverines for 396 yards and six touchdowns, with Parris Campbell hauling in six catches for 192 yards and two scores. It was a performance that still echoes in rivalry lore.

Fast forward to last season, and Ohio State finally broke a painful four-year losing streak with a commanding 27-9 win in Ann Arbor. That victory felt like a reset for the Buckeyes, especially after the sting of a 13-10 loss just weeks before they'd go on to capture the National Championship. Two of those losses came during what many call the Jim Harbaugh "cheating era," while the others were simply bizarre—making that 2025 triumph all the sweeter.

But the rivalry never stays still. Up north, Michigan enters a new chapter under head coach Kyle Wittingham in 2026, the first year of his tenure. Wittingham, who built Utah into a consistent Big 12 and national contender, aims to restore the Wolverines to glory. The stage is set for another chapter in the greatest rivalry in sports, and with the traditional time slot locked in, fans can start dreaming of those crisp November Saturdays.

Whether you're repping scarlet and gray or maize and blue, one thing's certain: when "The Game" kicks off at noon, you'll want to be dressed for the occasion.
