Bayern Munich's electrifying playmaker Jamal Musiala is taking a characteristically honest approach as he continues his journey back to full fitness following a serious ankle injury sustained at last summer's Club World Cup.

"I've had good phases and sometimes not-so-good phases, which is completely normal," Musiala told Sky Germany, offering a candid reflection on his form since returning to action in January. The 23-year-old German international has been working tirelessly to rediscover the dazzling form that made him one of Europe's most exciting talents.

"It was good to get back into the rhythm and back into the team. I'm really happy with what I've managed to achieve so far," Musiala added. "I know there are still steps forward I can take—things that are still missing compared to last season. But when I look at what I expected a few months ago and where I am now, I'm very, very satisfied."

For a player known for his explosive dribbling and creative spark, patience has been the toughest opponent. "I want to be back at the same level as before immediately—or as quickly as possible. It simply takes patience, even when I'm involved in every game," Musiala admitted. "You can see that sometimes something is still missing; in some matches you don't notice it. But I'm very satisfied with the support I have and just want to look forward."

With two crucial matches remaining—Saturday's Bundesliga clash against 1. FC Köln and the DFB-Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart in Berlin on May 23—Musiala has a golden opportunity to build momentum before joining Germany for the World Cup. For fans watching his comeback, every touch of the ball is a reminder that great form isn't just about talent—it's about the journey back.
