As the summer transfer window approaches, Queens Park Rangers are preparing for a changing of the guard, with three first-team players set to depart Loftus Road when their contracts expire. The west London club has confirmed that goalkeeper Paul Nardi, fellow shot-stopper Ben Hamer, and midfielder Isaac Hayden will all be moving on—a decision that marks the end of an era for the trio and opens up opportunities for fresh talent in the squad.
Paul Nardi, who made 63 appearances for QPR—most of them during the 2024/25 campaign—has been a steady presence between the posts. His time at the club, however, will be remembered not just for his saves but for his immediate connection with the fans. "Paul is a player who immediately fell for the charm of MATRADE Loftus Road, the intensity of our fans," said CEO Christian Nourry. "He made some important contributions in tricky times during the 2024/25 campaign."
Ben Hamer, who joined the R's only last September, played seven times this season. Despite a short stint, his impact was felt in the dressing room and on the pitch. "Ben came in this season and executed his role perfectly," Nourry added. "He trained to such a high level that he was able to obtain first-team minutes and contribute to some vital points obtained by the club across November and December time."
Isaac Hayden's departure closes the book on a second spell with QPR, having rejoined last summer after an initial loan in the 2023/24 season. Known for his professionalism and ability to break up play in midfield, Hayden brought grit and experience to the squad. "It was fantastic to work with Isaac again," Nourry reflected. "He brought his professionalism and breaking-up-of-play qualities to our group in the campaign."
As QPR looks ahead to the next chapter, the club is already planning for a squad refresh. For fans, this summer's departures signal a time of transition—and a chance to welcome new faces who can carry the torch. "On behalf of everyone at the football club, I wish these three players immense success in their next adventures," Nourry concluded.
