As Paris Saint-Germain push through the final stretch of their season—with a Champions League final on the horizon and a World Cup looming this summer—the rumor mill is already buzzing about the summer transfer window. And one name that keeps popping up is PSG winger Bradley Barcola.
According to French journalist Alexis Bernard of le10sport, the 23-year-old is "hotter than ever" with a potential move to Liverpool. The English giants reportedly showed interest back in the summer of 2025, giving Barcola and his camp "food for thought." At the time, he chose to stay put during a World Cup year. But now, things are heating up fast.
Bernard reports that Liverpool have begun pushing "very hard" for the winger in recent days, and Barcola himself is "very keen" to join the Reds. Crucially, PSG are not expected to block the transfer, which could smooth the path for a deal. With just two years left on his contract this summer, his representatives have already started exploring options away from the French capital.
It's easy to wonder: why would anyone want to leave a project like PSG? The answer likely comes down to playing time—or, in Barcola's case, a perceived lack of it. In Ligue 1 this season, the No. 29 has started only 18 games, scoring 10 goals and creating 10 big chances in roughly 17.5 full matches. In the Champions League, he's started 12 times but has been a substitute in the last three European fixtures, and he's expected to start the final on the bench—just as he did last season.
So while Barcola isn't completely frozen out, he could certainly see more minutes elsewhere. At another club, he could become the "main man"—a role that's hard to carve out in a star-studded PSG lineup. For a player with his pace, dribbling, and creativity, a move to the Premier League might just be the perfect next chapter.
