Paris Saint-Germain are back in Ligue 1 action this weekend as they welcome Lorient to the Parc des Princes for Matchday 31. It's a fixture that comes on the back of an electrifying Champions League semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich, so expect some changes from Luis Enrique.
PSG have been in formidable form, topping the league table with 69 points and winning four of their last five matches across all competitions. That run includes a dominant 3-0 victory away at Angers on April 25, a hard-fought 5-4 win over Bayern, and back-to-back 3-0 clean sheets. The only blemish was a narrow 2-1 loss to Lyon earlier in April, but they've bounced back impressively.
With the second leg against Bayern on the horizon, Enrique is set to rotate heavily. The defence takes a hit: Achraf Hakimi is sidelined with a hamstring injury, and Illia Zabarnyi is suspended. In goal, Lucas Chevalier is out with a thigh problem, and with Matvey Safonov likely rested, all eyes are on 19-year-old Renato Marin, who could make his Ligue 1 debut.
Up front, Goncalo Ramos is suspended after a red card in the previous outing, while Quentin Ndjantou remains a long-term absentee. On the bright side, Fabian Ruiz has returned from a knee injury and is expected to start again to build match sharpness. Enrique may also hand opportunities to young talents like Senny Mayulu and Ibrahim Mbaye in what promises to be an experimental lineup.
Possible PSG starting XI: Marin; Zaire-Emery, Zabarnyi, Pacho, Hernandez; Beraldo; Neves, Kang-in; Mayulu, Barcola, Mbaye
The match kicks off at 4pm BST on Saturday, 2nd May. For UK viewers, it will be available primarily on the official Ligue 1+ streaming platform.
Whether you're a PSG fan eager to see the next generation or just love the drama of title chases, this one's got intrigue written all over it.
