After reaching the NFC title game last season, the Los Angeles Rams entered the offseason with a championship-caliber roster in their pocket. They didn't need to tear things down and start over, only feeling compelled to add talent to a handful of position groups.

The result was a very calculated approach, bolstering the secondary with two big additions at cornerback and addressing future needs in the draft. And so the depth chart doesn't look terribly different than last year's, with most of their starters returning from 2025.

Here's a projected depth chart following the draft, excluding the 18 undrafted rookies Los Angeles has agreed to terms with. (Note: Rookies are in italics)

Sean McVay said Simpson will compete with Bennett for the backup QB job, but it's hard to imagine the Rams not rolling with only two quarterbacks this season: Stafford and Simpson. The rookie will need to earn his spot but it's reasonable to think he'll beat out Bennett.

Outside of Dean Connors as an undrafted rookie, the Rams' running back room looks exactly the same as it did last year. Williams and Corum were the top two backs, Rivers was the No. 3 option and Hunter was a fourth-string rookie who barely saw the field. It's now up to Hunter to beat out Rivers as the RB3.

Depth: CJ Daniels, Tru Edwards, Mario Williams, Brennan Presley, Tyler Scott

The Rams' wide receiver group is top-heavy with Nacua and Adams. After that, the talent drops off a bit, with Whittington, Mumpfield, Smith and Daniels all likely to compete for the WR3 spot. It's anyone's job to take, which should make for some fun camp competition.

This is, without question, the deepest group on the roster. The Rams have four starting-caliber tight ends, as well as the rookie Klare for depth. It wouldn't be a surprise if all five of them catch at least 10 passes.

LT: Alaric Jackson, David Quessenberry, A.J. Arcuri

The Rams' offensive line was in great shape before the draft and it got even better with the addition of Trost, who can play any position. We'll slot him in at guard behind Limmer and Dedich, but he could also compete for snaps as the swing tackle. He'll need to beat out Quessenberry for that role.

Round 7, No. 232 overall: DT Tim Keenan III, Alabama

Round 7, No. 232 overall: DT Tim Keenan III, Alabama

NT: Poona Ford, Tyler Davis, Tim Keenan III, Bill Norton

Keenan is the only notable addition to the defensive line this offseason, bolstering the depth at nose tackle behind Ford. Davis is a versatile defender who can play anywhere across the front, so he's not strictly a nose tackle.

Verse and Young are the clear-cut starters on the edge, but Stewart and Johnson are solid pieces to have as backups – particularly the second-year Stewart. There's still room for the Rams to add another pass rusher before the season begins, too.

Despite inside linebacker looking like a need in the draft, the Rams opted not to address it. Stuard is their only addition of the offseason, but he'll probably be more of a special teams contributor than a linebacker.

What a difference a year makes. Darious Williams, Cobie Durant and Ahkello Witherspoon are all gone, and McDuffie and Watson have stepped in as the Rams' big offseason additions. They'll be the top two cornerbacks, though McDuffie is also expected to play in the slot some, too. That will allow Lake to move between the slot and a more traditional safety role, with Forbes operating as the fourth corner.

No changes here, either. Curl, Kinchens and McCollough are all expected to be valuable contributors on defense, with Lake also operating as a true safety when McDuffie slides into the slot, too. It's a talented, young group with a ton of promise.

Mevis is the only kicker on the roster, which shows the Rams' confidence in him after a stellar first season in 2025. Cardona steps in as the long snapper after signing in free agency, replacing Jake McQuaide.
