The Jacksonville Jaguars have essentially locked in their 2026 roster after a busy free agency and the NFL draft. Now, it's time to take an early swing at predicting what their Week 1 starting offense might look like—and there's plenty of intrigue to break down.
We recently ran a similar projection for the defensive side of the ball, so let's shift focus to the offense. One area that stands out is the backfield, where I'm going to bend the rules a bit. On paper, there will be a designated starter, but my early hunch is that we'll see a true committee approach. One week, Tuten might lead in carries; the next, Rodriguez could take the reins. Factor in Travis Hunter as a versatile weapon, and these three should anchor the depth chart as consistent contributors.
The real battles will unfold further down the roster. Behind Strange at tight end, Quintin Morris and Nate Boerkircher are set to compete for snaps, while Tanner Koziol could shake things up enough to push Hunter Long off the roster entirely.
On the offensive line, the projected starters are Cole Van Lanen, Ezra Cleveland, Robert Hainsey, Patrick Mekari, and Anton Harrison. Don't sleep on Emmanuel Pregnon, though—he could challenge Mekari specifically for playing time. For now, I'm giving Mekari the edge based on experience, but if Pregnon gets the nod in Week 1, it won't come as a shock.
This Jaguars offense is shaping up to be a mix of proven veterans and hungry newcomers, making for an exciting season ahead.
