Probable Formation: Parma vs Roma

Gasperini is expected to rinse and repeat the same XI that torched Fiorentina for four goals when Roma visits Parma.

Gian Piero Gasperini is keeping his cards close to his chest, but all signs point to the same starting XI that dismantled Fiorentina last week taking the pitch when Roma visits Parma on Sunday. After a dominant 4-0 performance at the Stadio Olimpico, the Giallorossi boss has every reason to stick with a winning formula.

In his pre-match press conference, Gasperini offered encouraging updates on two key players. "Dybala has been training regularly for a couple of weeks now, and so he's improving. It's not so much a question of condition, but rather a question of regaining the strength in that leg, the shooting power," he explained. Meanwhile, left-back Angeliño appears to be rediscovering his form after a difficult campaign. "Perhaps for the first time in these last few days, these last few weeks, we're seeing him again. He's getting closer to the player he was last year," Gasperini noted.

The timing couldn't be better for Roma's resurgence. With just three matches remaining in the Serie A season, the battle for European qualification is reaching a fever pitch. Roma sit just one point behind Juventus and three adrift of Milan for the final two Champions League spots, while holding a precarious two-point cushion over Como for the guaranteed Europa League berth. Every result matters, and Sunday's clash at the Stadio Ennio Tardini carries enormous weight.

Gasperini will be without Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bryan Zaragoza, Evan Ferguson, and Artem Dovbyk for match week 36, but the core of his squad is healthy and confident. When asked if he'd field the exact same XI that torched Fiorentina, Gasperini smiled and played it coy. "I like the usual defense! Roma are doing well, we're having a good run of confidence, even technically," he said before adding a note of caution: "Every match is truly different. We're facing a team that has achieved some important results, has pulled itself out of the relegation battle very well, and is certainly a calm team."

Parma may have secured their safety, but they remain a dangerous opponent. As Gasperini acknowledged, "We saw last week how the Italian league, fortunately, has become good right up until the final matchday, where even teams that don't have clear objectives at the moment are playing their best." With Juventus and Como playing before Roma's Sunday noon Eastern kickoff, the Giallorossi could find themselves with a golden opportunity to leap into the Champions League places—provided they handle business on the road.
