The Los Angeles Rams finished the 2026 NFL Draft with five players, three of them coming in the first three rounds and two in the final two rounds. Ty Simpson was their first selection at No. 13 overall, a pick that has been talked about non-stop since it was made.
The Rams have specific visions for each player in the class, planning ahead to see where they all fit on the depth chart and within the offense or defense. But who do their prospects compare to in the NFL?
Analysts shared pro comparisons for each Rams player, starting with Ty Simpson being similar to Mac Jones, a former first-round pick by the Patriots and the current backup to Brock Purdy in San Francisco.
Lance Zierlein sees shades of Jones in Simpson's game, though Jones. Simpson has also been compared to a less athletic version of Daniel Jones, so take these comparisons as you will.
Simpson doesn't have a massive arm nor is he the biggest quarterback, but he typically throws with good accuracy and can make throws to all levels of the field. The Rams have to hope he'll pan out better than both of those comparisons, though Jones has turned into a quality starter for the Colts.
The Athletic's Dane Brugler noted in his draft guide that Klare has elements of Dalton Kincaid to his game, which could explain why the Rams liked him; they tried to trade up for Kincaid in the draft a few years ago.
Klare is a terrific athlete and has good hands for a receiver, but he needs work as a blocker, which will come with time as a pro in the Rams' system.
Borom isn't a totally recognizable name as a former fifth-round pick in the 2021 draft, but he's still carved out a nice career for himself. He's started 38 of the 63 games he's played in the last five years, both for the Bears and Dolphins.
He made 11 starts for Miami last season and signed a $5 million deal with the Lions this offseason.
Pro comparisons: Andre Iosivas and Romeo Doubs (Fantasy Life)
Daniels is a fun player to watch because of how well he does in contested catch situations. He makes highlight-reel grabs often, including one of the best catches you'll ever see last season against Notre Dame.
Fantasy Life compared him to Iosivas and made a stylistic stretch to Doubs, who are two quality receivers in the NFL today. Doubs is particularly good as a contested catch guy.
Brugler wonders if Keenan can be this year's version of Tonga, a seventh-round pick in 2021 who has played 67 games and made 15 starts since then. They're both short, squatty nose tackles with powerful anchors at 325-plus pounds.
Keenan should compete to be the Rams' backup nose tackle behind Poona Ford this season, an important role on a great defensive line.
