Ligue 1 heats up this Saturday as two sides at opposite ends of the table collide: mid-table Nice welcomes high-flying Lens to the Allianz Riviera for matchweek 32.

Claude Puel's Nice currently sit 15th with 30 points, still searching for consistency after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Marseille last time out. Meanwhile, Pierre Sage's Lens are flying high in 2nd place with 63 points, fresh off an exhilarating 3-3 thriller against Brest. With Lens pushing for a top-two finish and Nice looking to climb away from the lower half, there's plenty at stake.

History favors the visitors: Lens took a convincing 2-0 victory in the last meeting between these two, and Sage boasts a perfect record against Nice, winning all three of his encounters. Puel, however, has more experience against Lens, with 10 wins, 8 draws, and 9 defeats in 27 meetings.

Team news sees Nice lining up with Yehvann Diouf in goal, supported by Antoine Mendy, Juma Bah, and Kojo Peprah Oppong in defense. The midfield features Hicham Boudaoui, Jonathan Clauss, Melvin Bard, and Salis Samed, with Morgan Sanson pulling the strings. Up front, Mohamed-Ali Cho and Elye Wahi will lead the attack.

Lens counters with Robin Risser between the sticks, a backline of Ismaëlo Ganiou, Malang Sarr, and Samson Baidoo, and a midfield engine of Rubén Aguilar, Adrien Thomasson, Mamadou Sangaré, and Matthieu Udol. The attacking trio of Florian Sotoca, Abdallah Sima, and Wesley Saïd will look to exploit Nice's defense.

Recent form tells an interesting story. Lens has been dominant overall, with just four defeats in their last 25 matches, and they're currently on a three-game unbeaten run. However, their away form has been a concern: they've failed to win in their last six road trips, losing three of those, and have conceded in five straight away matches. That's a vulnerability Nice will hope to exploit.

Nice, on the other hand, have struggled for home comforts recently. They've managed just one win in their last seven matches at the Allianz Riviera, with two defeats in their last ten. But with a point against Marseille under their belts, confidence may be building.

With Lens chasing glory and Nice desperate for points, expect a tense, tactical battle under the Riviera lights. Can Sage's men break their away drought, or will Puel's side spring a surprise?
