Ava Lafollette is making history look routine. The Notre Dame senior forward scored twice on Monday night, powering the Irish to an 8-0 victory over visiting Pekin. Those two goals—her 49th and 50th of the season—marked her second straight 50-goal campaign, following a 57-goal explosion last year that helped PND finish as state runners-up. With the win, Notre Dame improved to 20-0-2 and can wrap up an undefeated conference and regular season with a victory at Champaign Central on Tuesday.

On the diamond, Dunlap’s Carter Lippens delivered a masterclass on the mound, tossing a four-hit shutout in a 2-0 win over Morton. The Eagles remain atop the Mid-Illini Conference standings, holding a one-game lead over East Peoria, which knocked off Metamora 3-1. Other baseball winners included Normal Community, Washington, Limestone, Notre Dame, and Brimfield, while Metamora, Washington, and Brimfield also picked up wins on the softball side.

On the track, Eureka claimed the Heart of Illinois Conference boys track and field championship at El Paso-Gridley High School, adding another trophy to a busy spring season.
