The Minutemen received six hits from six different batters with Alex Kridler driving in two runs and Derek Gomez bringing in a third. Concord improves to 2-1, 1-1 NLC.

Northridge pounced on their rivals and took a 5-0 lead after two innings to set themselves up for an 8-5 win at NorthWood Wednesday afternoon. The three-man pitching staff of Aveary Johnson, Ethan Yoder and Colt Bollinger commanded for the Raiders, striking out eight batters. Northridge also stole seven bases as a group as Dom Ortiz and Luke Mann both were 3-of-4 at the plate. NorthWood was led by Drew Rains and Brody Rondeau, who were both 2-of-3. Northridge is now 3-3, 1-1 NLC while the Panthers drop to 5-2, 1-1 NLC.

Wawasee was held to just three hits from Garrett Tittle, Kyhan Heisler and Mason McKibben as the Warriors were run-ruled at Mishawaka Wednesday. Brady Blaze drove in the lone run for Wawasee in the fifth before the Cavemen put up five in the bottom inning to secure the walk-off. Wawasee is now 0-5, 0-2 NLC.

Concord fell as the ‘road team’ against Plymouth Tuesday in Dunlap. The Pilgrims trailed 4-0 before scoring seven runs in its final two innings to defeat the Minutemen. Concord’s Shelby Emerick, Cheyenne Collins and Rheagan Stafford all tallied two hits. Concord is now 2-4, 1-1 NLC.

Fairfield broke the game open in the third inning in a rout of Bremen Wednesday in Benton. Lilly Yoder was 4-of-4, driving in two runs and scoring three times while Preslee Caouette was 3-3, driving in three runs on two doubles and Madison Jones was 3-of-4, also driving in three runs. Paige Park threw six innings and earned the win on the mound by striking out five and allowing just two runs. Fairfield is now 8-2, 2-1 NECC.

Northridge was held scoreless through two innings but scored in the final four as the Raiders blew past NorthWood Wednesday in Middlebury. The Raiders out-hit the Panthers 12-1 as Leighla Winchester dominated from the mound, throwing six innings and allowing one hit and striking out seven in 66 pitches. At the plate, Rachel Humbarger was 3-of-4 while Tabby Lucas was 2-of-4 and drove in three runs. Northridge is now 2-3, 1-1 NLC while NorthWood is 3-6, 0-2 NLC.

Wawasee rallied late, but Mishawaka couldn’t come back all the way Wednesday in Syracuse. The Warriors plated two runs in the second, three in the fourth and one in the sixth and seventh. Heatherlynn Holder, Ashlynn Corn, Melissa Bontrager and Tatum Thorn all collected two hits with Thorn driving in a pair of runs. The Warriors are now 4-5, 1-1 NLC.

Concord picked up two wins over Bremen and Culver Community Wednesday afternoon. Individual scores had not been submitted by publication. The Minutemen are now 2-2 on the season.

Bremen won all the singles courts and Concord swept the doubles as the Lions won 3-2 Wednesday afternoon. Winning for the Minutemen were Brianna Koontz and Lilly Newburn as well as Angie Ruiz-Urbina and Sloan Fisher. Concord is now 0-2 on the season.

Goshen earned a sweep against Wawasee on Wednesday, giving up just six games to the Warriors. The doubles team of Ruby Shoemaker and Hannah Rheinheimer were the lone court to finish 6-0, 6-0 in favor of the RedHawks. Goshen is now 3-0, 2-0 NLC.

Northridge won a critical showdown with Warsaw Wednesday night at the new Northridge tennis courts. The Raiders were led with wins by Elaina Duthie (1S: 6-4, 6-1), Ana Zmuda (2S: 7-5, 6-3), Stella Judd and Lidea Shell (1D: 6-4, 4-6, 6-2) and Jovi Schmidt and Brooklyn Vasil (2D: 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (6)). Northridge is now 4-1, 1-0 NLC.

NorthWood suffered defeat on the road at Plymouth Wednesday night. Individual scores had not been submitted by deadline. The Panthers are now 2-2, 0-1 NLC.

Warsaw defeated NorthWood Wednesday afternoon in Nappanee. Event winners for the Panthers included Colson Yoder in the shot put (57’ 11”) and in the discus (156’ 7”), Daontay Martz in the 400-meter dash (52.62), Benjamin Bodach in the mile (4:38.68), Josiah Maxwell in the two miles (10:28.83) and the 4X800-meter relay team. NorthWood is now 1-2, 1-2 NLC.

Plymouth swept Northridge and Concord and the Minutemen earned the split in a three-way dual Wednesday afternoon. Local event-winners included Northridge’s Dakotah Moore in the 400-meter dash (1:03.05), Alli Ambers in the 800-meter run (2:26.76), Lily Vasil in the pole vault (9’), Kara Hively in the discus (112’1”) and the Raiders 4X800-meter relay team. The Minutemen won events with Hailey Arroyo in the high jump (5’3”) and Joceyln Jones-Perry in the shot put (34’9”). Concord is now 2-2, 2-2 NLC while Northridge falls to 4-2, 2-2 NLC.

NorthWood and Wawasee were both swept by Warsaw and the Panthers topped the Warriors in a rescheduled meet from earlier in the week. Event winners from the local area included NorthWood’s Jordyn McMillian in the 100-meter dash (12.90) and in the 200-meter dash (26.42) and the Panthers 4X100-meter relay team. Wawasee’s Sarah Cheng won the pole vault with a winning height of eight feet. NorthWood is now 2-2, 2-2 NLC while Wawasee drops to 0-4, 0-4 NLC.
