Raceland's softball team delivered a statement win on Thursday, saving their biggest offensive explosion for the final inning to seal a dominant 13-0 district victory over Russell. Already leading 7-0, the Rams put the game completely out of reach with a six-run sixth inning, showcasing the depth of their lineup.

The late rally was a true team effort, with Allison McMackin, Peyton Mackie, Nim Maynard, and Bryleigh Kennard all driving in runs. McMackin led the charge with four RBIs on the day, while Bryna Wellman set the table perfectly with three hits from the top of the order. This decisive win in their 63rd District seeding opener sets a powerful tone for Raceland's season.

The Rams are riding a wave of momentum, fresh off claiming another 16th Region All ‘A’ Classic title earlier in the week, a victory highlighted by a Bryleigh Kennard three-run homer. Their success has earned them a spot in the state tournament at Owensboro's Jack Fisher Park starting April 25th, where they will face Hazard, Brown, and Beechwood in pool play.

In a thrilling baseball showdown, the Ashland Tomcats authored a dramatic walk-off victory against Greenup County, proving that pressure creates diamonds. Trailing by two runs entering the bottom of the seventh inning, Ashland mounted a stunning comeback without needing a game-tying hit.

After a bunt and a critical Greenup County error allowed the tying runs to score, LJ Murphy displayed incredible composure, getting hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in the winning run. This resilient finish capped a back-and-forth battle where Greenup County had previously seized a 4-2 lead with a four-run sixth inning.

Ashland's Brady Marushi provided the early power with a solo home run as part of a 2-for-3 day, while pitcher Parker Johnson was a workhorse on the mound. Johnson went the distance, scattering five hits to secure the complete-game victory and improve his personal record to an impressive 4-1.
