Northridge Shuts Out Warsaw
Northridge delivered a dominant 14-0 win over Warsaw in just five innings. Quinn Knepp was unstoppable on the mound, tossing five shutout innings with eight strikeouts while allowing only three hits. The Raiders made the most of just seven hits, thanks to 11 walks that fueled their 14-run outburst. Michael Pointon cleared the bases with a double, and Aveary Johnson added two doubles of his own. Northridge has now won four straight and seven of their last eight, improving to 10-10 overall and 6-6 in conference play.
NorthWood Rallies Past Mishawaka
NorthWood stormed back with nine unanswered runs to top Mishawaka 10-5 on the road. Drew Rains led the charge with three hits, five RBIs, and a home run. Ryder Ransberger also went yard, while Brady Blackford earned the win on the mound with six strong innings, allowing just two earned runs. The Panthers now sit at 12-9 overall and 6-6 in the NLC.
Wawasee Falls to Plymouth
Wawasee struggled in a six-inning loss to Plymouth, falling by run rule. Garrett Tittle drove in the Warriors' only run as the team managed just five hits. Wawasee drops to 2-16 overall and 1-11 in conference play.
Softball: Concord Stages Comeback
Concord rallied from behind to beat Goshen, scoring three runs in the fourth, three in the fifth, five in the sixth, and one in the seventh to pull away. Serina Masuth drove in three runs, and Esmeralda Perez went 3-for-4 with three runs scored. The Minutemen improve to 8-13 overall and 5-7 in the NLC, while Goshen falls to 3-16 and 2-10.
Northridge Cruises Past Warsaw
Northridge rolled to a short win at Warsaw, piling up 17 hits and scoring six runs in the second inning to take control. Mia Branam was a perfect 3-for-4 with three doubles, while Willow Staley also went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, including a triple and a home run. Rachel Humbarger added a homer of her own. The Raiders improve to 11-7 overall and 8-4 in the NLC.
NorthWood Falls Early to Mishawaka
NorthWood couldn't overcome an early deficit in a loss at Mishawaka. Payton Sears drove in the Panthers' only run and was one of just three batters to record a hit. NorthWood drops to 7-14 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
Wawasee Wins at Home
Wawasee used a four-run third inning to secure a home win over Plymouth. Abbagail Willy crushed a home run and drove in two runs, while Chasity Kelich went 2-for-3 at the plate. The Warriors improve to 12-11 overall and 7-5 in the NLC.
Golf: Northridge Takes Second at Ubele Invitational
The 90th Ubele Invitational was held in LaPorte on Friday, with Northridge finishing second overall with a team score of 312, just behind champion Lake Central (303). Leading the Raiders were Cooper Kropf (73), Kaden Miller (75), Brady Riegsecker (82), and Owen Kaehr (82).
Westview Edges Lakeland
Westview picked up a win over Lakeland at Heron, rounding out a busy Friday of prep sports.
