Shelby Plasier proved that champions never rest on their laurels, successfully defending her state title in the javelin. The senior star once again showcased the precision and power that have made her a force to be reckoned with in the throwing events, adding another gold medal to her already stellar resume.
Saylor Tolbert was a triple-threat on the track, earning three medals in the state meet. Her crowning achievement came in the 400m hurdles, where she captured the state title with a performance that left the competition in her wake.
